Destination
Loire Valley
wedding photographer
Nathanaël Charpentier is a documentary wedding photographer based between the Sologne and the Loire Valley, 1.5 hours from Paris, in the heart of château country. He photographs a limited number of estate weddings each year, documentary-first: the images no one staged, kept exactly as they happened.
The Loire is France’s quiet luxury: UNESCO-listed landscapes, private châteaux that host one wedding at a time, and evening light on pale stone that no studio can imitate. Couples who compare notice something else: a comparable estate here costs 25 to 40% less than in Provence, and the TGV puts your guests at the door in under three hours from the airport.
The approach does not change with the setting: presence without direction. The château provides the stage; your day provides the images.

Common questions
Why choose the Loire Valley for a destination wedding in France?
World Heritage châteaux, private estates with palace proportions, and budgets 25 to 40% below Provence for a comparable venue. The Loire Valley is under 3 hours from Paris-CDG by train: your guests land in the morning and dress for the ceremony.
How far in advance should we book a photographer?
For a Saturday between May and September at a Loire Valley estate, 12 to 18 months ahead is standard. Nathanaël Charpentier photographs one wedding per weekend. Collections from €2,700.
Do you also travel outside the Loire Valley?
Yes: Paris elopements, Normandy, Corsica (including the Domaine de Murtoli, already photographed), Marrakech, Mauritius, the Seychelles, Andalusia and Brussels. Seven countries so far. Travel is quoted transparently with the collection.
